Walt Disney World Tickets
Where to get Walt Disney World Tickets
There are many sources from which to purchase your Walt
Disney World Tickets. You can buy your tickets at the
gate (full price); advance purchase from Disney (discounted);
at ticket kiosks located in restaurants, hotels, and shops in
the Orlando area; from authorized ticket discounters online; and
you can even exchange Hilton HHonors points for tickets. Some
people go to timeshare presentations for the promise of free tickets
(not recommended unless you are really interested in a timeshare).
Last but not least, buy your Walt Disney World Tickets
on eBay, but be sure they have never been used. Often on eBay
you can buy unused Convention tickets at an attractive
price from people who attended a convention but never used their
tickets. Convention tickets come in a number
of different option packages, so if you purchase these, be very
sure you understand the restrictions. For example, with some tickets
you may not enter the parks until after 2 pm.
Disney is very strict on their policy of tickets not being refundable
or transferable. Therefore, be sure you do not overbuy on days.
If on the last day use of your tickets, you regret you didn't
purchase one more day, you can always go to Customer Service (before
you leave the park) and ask to add on another day. This will be
much cheaper than buying a one-day ticket. As of 2005 Disney matches
up your ticket with a digital finger scan at the gate to make
certain you are the legitimate owner of the ticket. They will
also ask you to sign the back of your ticket if you have not already
done so. Their computer will store information on your visits
to the park so they can tell what date and which park you visited,
and whether you have unused days left.
